There is Strength In Numbers

To say the election in 2016 was close is an understatement. Unfortunately, it brought-out the worst in many of us. I suppose the United States is pretty much evenly divided between Democrats and Republicans. Now that the election is over, I can only hope that we can put our own selfish feelings aside and figure-out what it is that we have in common that we can Unite together. Remember what President JFK stated in one of his speeches "Our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal". To scale it down to just the American people, we all inhabit this Great Country.

I work on a military installation where every afternoon at 5:00 pm, I get the opportunity to place my hand on my heart while the military installation plays the National Anthem. It doesn't matter how often I hear that song, it still sends chills up my spine with a feeling of pride to be an American. For those who take this country and our freedom for granted, please remember those men and women who paid the ultimate price and died for that freedom that we each get to enjoy.

For those who can find nothing better to do than to criticize our President "Donald Trump", I recommend you somehow resolve to support him. Remember what JFK also stated "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country".

The United States is a great country comprised of people from every walk of life. In some regards over the past 8-12 years, we have gone back 50 years. Remember what MLK stated in one of his speeches when he spoke about faith in our country "With this faith, we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith, we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together".

I'm proud to say that I voted for Donald Trump because I want America to be Great again. I personally believe it is going to take someone who has the knowledge and understands business and certainly not a Lawyer to get this country turned-around. Whether you agree with me or disagree, fortunately, that is another Freedom we each have "The Freedom of Speech". We must put our differences aside and stand together as JFK and MLK as well as many other Presidents have stated.

God Bless America!
